Ordering
How do I place an order?
Browse the shop, add cuts to your cart, and fill in your delivery details at checkout. We don’t take payment online — you pay when the order arrives at your door. Once you submit your order, we’ll be in touch to confirm a delivery time that works for you.
Can I order anytime, or is there a cut-off?
You can place an order any day of the week. Because everything is prepared fresh to order, there may be a lead time of one to two days depending on when you order and our current schedule. We’ll confirm timing when we contact you after your order comes in.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum. Order one pack or a full family combo — it’s up to you.
Can I order for someone else or a different address?
Yes. Just enter the recipient’s delivery address and phone number in the checkout. We’ll contact that number to arrange delivery.
Can I combine individual cuts and a combo box in the same order?
Yes, everything goes into one cart and ships in one delivery.
Delivery
Where do you deliver?
We deliver across Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge, Ontario. If you’re unsure whether your address is in our zone, email us at hello@butcher-bravo.ca before ordering.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is free. No delivery fee, no minimum spend.
How do I choose a delivery day?
After you place your order, we’ll text or email you to arrange a delivery time that fits your schedule. We don’t lock you into a slot at checkout.
What time of day do you deliver?
We’ll agree on a window when we confirm with you. We’ll let you know if we’re running behind.
Do I need to be home?
Yes — payment happens at the door, so someone needs to be there to receive the order and pay.
Payment
How do I pay?
Cash, tap (debit or credit), or e-transfer — at the door when your order is delivered. We don’t take payment online.
Why pay at delivery instead of online?
Because your meat is sold by weight, the final price is confirmed once it’s packed — not at the time you order. Paying at the door means you only ever pay for exactly what you receive.
Will I know the price before delivery?
Yes. Before we prepare your order, we’ll send you a final summary with exact weights and the updated total. You can reply with any changes at that point. If we don’t hear back, we proceed with your order as confirmed.
Is HST included in the displayed price?
Prices shown in the shop are before tax. HST (13%) is calculated and shown at checkout, and included in your final order summary.
The Meat
Where does the pork come from?
From a provincially inspected abattoir operating under OMAFA (Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agri-Food) oversight. Ontario pork, traceable and dated.
Where is the meat prepared?
In our preparation kitchen, inspected by Region of Waterloo Public Health. All cuts are prepared, marinated, and packed by hand on-site.
How is the meat packaged?
Tray-packed in breathable trays — the same format you’d find at a quality butcher counter. It travels well and stays fresh.
How long does it keep?
Use within 3 days of delivery if refrigerating. If you won’t cook it within 3 days, freeze it immediately when it arrives — it keeps well frozen for up to 3 months.
Is the meat fresh or previously frozen?
Fresh. We prepare to order, not from frozen stock.
Do you carry anything other than pork?
Currently pork only. We may expand in the future — sign up for the weekly drop to hear first.
Pricing and Weight
Why does the price say “up to $X”?
Most cuts are sold by weight, and pork is a natural product — individual pieces vary slightly. We quote a maximum price based on the top of the weight range. Your actual pack may weigh a little less, in which case the final price will be lower. The variance is typically within ±10%.
What if my order comes in lighter than quoted?
You pay the actual weight price, not the quoted maximum. The final summary we send before preparing your order will show the exact weight and price.
Can I request a specific weight or portion size?
You can include a note in the delivery notes field at checkout (e.g. “prefer smaller portions” or “aiming for around 1 kg total”). We’ll do our best to accommodate, and we’ll confirm before packing.
Changes and Cancellations
Can I change my order after submitting it?
Yes, up until the point we start preparing it. When we send your final order summary, reply with any changes and we’ll adjust before packing. After preparation has started, changes may not be possible.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Contact us before we start preparing your order and we’ll cancel with no charge. Email hello@butcher-bravo.ca or reply to your order confirmation.
What if I’m not happy with what I receive?
Contact us at hello@butcher-bravo.ca the same day. We stand behind the quality of what we send out — if something isn’t right, we’ll make it right.
Other
Do you have a store I can visit?
No physical storefront — online orders and home delivery only.
Do you do bulk or wholesale orders?
We can accommodate larger orders for events or families. Email hello@butcher-bravo.ca with what you need and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
How do I stay up to date on what’s available?
Sign up for the weekly drop at the bottom of the home page. We’ll email you when new cuts are live, before they sell out.
